Assemblyman Michael Novakhov – Assembly District 45 –
On September 18, 2024, Assemblyman Michael Novakhov, representing the 45th District, addressed the Brooklyn New Wave Club. During his speech, Novakhov shared his journey from political apathy to becoming an assembly member, driven by the pressing issues facing the country, state, and city. He expressed his pride in representing the 45th District under the Republican and Conservative banners, calling it “the party of common sense.”
Novakhov also delivered exciting news for Sheepshead Bay residents: the long-awaited renovation of the Sheepshead Bay footbridge will begin on September 30. After two years of advocating for the $750,000 project, the funds have been secured. The renovation will take five months, with the bridge closed Monday through Friday but open on weekends.
